IMPACT SOLAR - Who We Are

IMPACT SOLAR began trading back in 1989, before solar was fashionable and well before the solar bonus scheme was introduced. We began installing stand alone systems in the Wide Bay, Mary Valley and Bundaberg areas, dealing with customers who had purchased small acreage without power supplied.

Back then we were known as “Home Power from Solar”. During that time we installed over 200 systems. Solar was only a cottage industry in the 80's, with very few people working in the industry and mostly working as a home based business model. In fact “Home Power from Solar” installed the very first GRID system in the Wide Bay area, and even Ergon had not seen this concept before. During the early years of trading there were only about 8 manufacturers and their warranties were only 5-10 years on the PV panels.

During our 22 years in the solar industry we've seen many changes and many companies come and go. We have grown from a small home based business and have since re-directed into Retail solar installation and supplying 12 volt to the RV market, with the biggest retail outlet in Queensland. We have now moved into Wholesale, serving the Electricians.

Over the many years we've been in business we have dealt with Retail, Wholesale and Electricians so we know the value of personalised service. . We have visited China and researched the Chinese manufacturers to help us decide which PV panels will stand the test of time, both in respect to the panel’s longevity and also to choose a company which has the expertise and financial back up to be around for many years to come.

We are CEC qualified for design in both GRID and STAND ALONE and can design your systems for you. We have the technical expertise to give you support and answers to all your questions. Impact Solar is a family owned company of long standing and we will give you personalised service and back up.
